Cuttlebug challenge week 4

I left this one kind of late as I was sooooooo thrown for a loop. We had to make a table center to match our party theme.... and if I'm honest this is probably something I would never normally use, therefore I really struggled. I did'nt want to go over the top and create something which was just going to sit around my appartment gathering dust (my DH would say most of my creations already have enought of that!).

I re-used an organza box I've been holding on to forever. Turned it updide down and put my mini box inside the lid. I then used the metal frame (it has a wire base construction) to poke flowers, little word cards and a mini banner into. I then twirled some pretty green ribbons around the base to look like Grass?

Well I hope it will get used, and can at leased be packed flat until I need it!

The papers used are the same as those for my other projects and the banner and flowers were embodded using swiss dots, argyl and flowers in circles embossing folders.

Sorry the photo is pretty naff but my appartment has next to no natural light today! Eek winter is really on the way!

2 Mini calanders for gifts
All this and I still have two challenges to complete and upload before the 30th, so I guess I do some moe crafting tonight! Yeh for Sundays!

Second Sunday Post....

Tina and I setourselfs the challenge over on Scrappy moms to do the Prima September scetch.

I saw a couple of versions of this sketch that I loved and have played a bit with it! I loved some of the photos from a walk in Paris that Greg and I had this summer, and also I bought some tiny drawings which I wanted to incorporate with the photos.

I really like how this has turned out, soft and pretty. I'm still learning "shabby"..... don't think I've quite got it yet, but I enjoyed doing it so I will definately pass this way again!

First Sunday post.....

My project for this weeks Cuttlebug Challenge.

A Mini Book to go with my other part items. This was fun!

I made the book in the shape of a tea cup for my tea party. The pages are all coloured cardstock which have been passed in my cuttlebug and are pre made with matching papers to my cards and box that I made for previous weeks. The handle is made from alpha beads and spells out: You Me who else? and it's all ready to fill with photos of who came to tea?

I'm almost scared to think what we'll have to make for next week!

Todays 2nd finished project....

I'm on a roll!

Just finished washing, ironing and stitching the Silk cusion cover I've been painting this week.

I can't take much credit as it was a pre-serti design (ie, already drawn out in outliner). I chose loads of greens as I'm slowly re-doing my lounge in white and green. I really enjoyed doing this as I've not done much silk painting these last few years. I think I may need to get some scarf blanks and renew my scarf collection!

70th Birthday Card

This card is my contribution for the Week 2 September challenge at Simply Scrapping. I made this one for Gregs Aunt who turns 70 this month. This in mind I kept it soft and a little more traditional.

Cuttlebug Challenge week 2

I had fun making this box and card for the second week of this month long challenge.

A little box, just the right size to put a selection of tea-bags for my tea party, teamed with a Cup Cake card and my invitation from last week. Can't wait to see what we are challenged to do next time.

Exciting News.

I've been working on this for a while, and it's finally time to share!

I have set up my own crafting site..... non commercial..... non stressful (I hope)..... and hopefully my new "home from home".

Over recent month the Scrapitude site where I "hung out" most has pretty much died out, with bothy the ladies who ran it now off doing other stuff, and less and less active users it was a shame, but pretty much inevitable that those of us still using it needed a new home.

Well from there came the idea of http://scrappymoms.ning.com ..... Not just a scrapping site despite the name, everyone welcome whatever carft you take part in.

Hope to see some folks signing in soon. Fun, challenges and chat are the order of the day.
