Can you say CRAZY????
Well that's what life has been for the past few weeks.
Changes at work, Changes at home.... worry over do I or don't I get to FLY to Scotland.....(they opened the airports on the very day I was due to fly, so uncertainty until the very last minute!)..... Vacation... Home.....I'm shattered!
Needless to say my crafting has been one of the first things to suffer therough all of this. I've not scrapped or made a card in over a month and I still don't feel energised to do so.
I did manage to pick up a few bargains while in the UK, but not exactly what I would have liked.
I was in a second hand shop and found new 4 sets of Dovecraft Creative chalks and a bag of stamps for just £1 each (bargain).... and I bought some tiny flowers and charms. I was however really dissapointed in my local Paper Mill as they have had a makeover and honestly don't stock half of what they used to, hubby was impressed I went in and came out spending ZERO!
I took a few photos so I do have something new to scrap if I ever get around to it! Come on someone give me a good kick will ya?

Another LO
I actually did this last weekend but never got around to taking a photo.... can't ask for too much!
It felt (finally) as if Spring was on it's way....so out came the "pretty" papers and some photos of Disneyland Park from last springtime.

Laura Ashley papers for both the background and the cutout flowers and birds.

Can't beleive I scrapped!!!
Holey moley i did it Batman!! yes I scrapped.
Feels like ages.
I saw a prompt at Sketches by Tamara that caught my fancy.... a recipe challenge to use Chipboard, paint and staples.
What a great combination to let me get started gently, and allow me to go a bit wild with colour.
So here it is (forgive the lousy photo as hubby has taken my camera on vacation with him....I got left with the "spare")....
Ross' OBSESSION..... LEGO.
You have got to love those little plastic bricks, and how thay can keep kids of all ages (include me and hubby here) entertained for hours.
Chipboard = Letters
paint = painted chippy (I of course chose the primary palet to reflect the bricks)
Staples = Holding down the photos and the rick-rack.
The journaling is written under the patterened paper strips and reads: "What's the biggest obsession in Ross' life? Is there really any question?? None! It could only possibly be 1 thing, LEGO. All shapes, all sizes, all levels. If it's mase with plastic bricks you can build it."
Each letter also has one or more of his lego kits naed on it. I will add more when he comes back from the UK, as I have no idea what most of them are called....but you can be sure he does!
So thanks for the challenge... I needed this hopefully I'll be back to scrapping (and blogging) a bit more frequently!!

Valentines Window decorations
Still no creating for me, but I have been making windo decorations for my friends chocolate shop for Valentines.
I made a wreath of autumn leaves last year and she asked if I could do something similar for Valentines Day.... so here's what I came up with!
They are actually quite large (about 50cm across) so you can imagine how much cutting out was required! If I don't see another paper heart anytime soon thats OK!!

Thank you cards
Some of my thank you cards ....finally for Christmas!!
The lighting is terrible so even in broad daylight I had to use a flash, so all are a bit brighter in real life....another wet and dull day here in Paris!

I like these easel cards, so easy to make and unlike so many "fancy" cards they sit flat and don't fall over when opened.
Now all I have to do is write them and of course send them!

All done...
That is at least my Scrap space!! I'm so happy that it's now finished (well possibly with one small modification to come).
We bought the units at Ikea and have used them to give me a small desk and a room seporator so that Hubby and I can get some P&Q from each other.

Hopefully I'll now get around to doing some scrapping..... after all I don't have excuses any more!

Welcome 2010
Well it's the start of another New Year. So far so good.... I built and installed my new units in the lounge, and now I have my very own scrap space. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some inspiration for how to fill it with the first of my stuff.
I still have a unit to paint and mount on the wall which is planned to take my jars of buttons & flowers. Until this is done I guess I'll improvise on one of the shelves.
I have a card to make tomorrow for my Father in Laws 70th Birthday, then all day to get things how I want them.
I'm not making any resolutions this year other than to try really hard to enjoy every moment of it I can. Work is hard at the moment so all "outside" stuff needs to keep me sane.
Back soon.
